Superintendent of Schools Ralph Yoder, announced that Wretha Webb was recently recognized as the recipient of the “Make Their Day Better” award. This monthly award was instituted by Superintendent Yoder to recognize individuals that make a difference in the day of fellow staff members, students and/or parents.
Mrs. Webb has been working for the Calhoun County School Board for twenty six years. Currently, she is employed as a third grade teacher at Altha Public School.
Mrs. Webb was nominated by one of her colleagues who shared the following:
In preparation for Thanksgiving, Altha Principal Sue Price had an idea that required some "artistic" talent, so she asked Wretha Webb to help out. Mrs. Webb created a display in the lunchroom for everyone to be able to see and enjoy. Faculty members wrote down blessings on a paper leaf. They were asked to write down one blessing in their lives. The leaves were displayed on the tree that Mrs. Webb designed.
Sue Price, Principal of Altha Public School stated, “Mrs. Webb’s gifts and talents make her a great teacher and a valuable member of the team here on Altha’s campus. I’m thankful for her willingness to do little extras that make a difference for our students and staff.”
