Ryals, Hassig Elected to CCSB Leadership
Calhoun County Superintendent of Schools Ralph Yoder, announces new leadership taking the helm of the Calhoun County School Board (CCSB).
On November 18, the CCSB met for its annual organizational meeting. Danny Ryals was elected as Chairman, replacing Kenneth Speights who has served in this role for the past two years. Danny Hassig was elected Vice-Chairman, replacing Danny Ryals who has been Vice-Chairman
for the previous two years. Additionally, three school board members were sworn in during the organizational meeting. Tim Smith begins his fifth term as a school board member, while Kelly King and Danny Hassig each begin their third terms. Superintendent Yoder stated, “I look forward to working with both Danny Ryals and Danny Hassig in their respective roles as Chair and Vice-Chair. We will continue to build on the rich educational
heritage that the Calhoun County School District has developed over the years. Additionally, during the next two years, a new school will be constructed in Altha, as well as ongoing facilities improvements around the District.”
