Superintendent Yoder, announced that Mollie Branton was recently recognized as the recipient of the “Make Their Day Better” award. This monthly award was instituted by Superintendent Yoder to recognize individuals that make a difference in the day of fellow staff members, students and/or parents.
Mrs. Branton has been working for the Calhoun County School Board for twenty-one years. Currently, she is employed at Altha Public School as a third grade teacher.
Mrs. Branton was nominated by a parent of one of her students.

Mollie has been an answered prayer in our family. She shows so much compassion and makes learning fun for her students while making sure they know the facts. I've volunteered throughout the school year with classroom events and parties and witnessed the way she encourages all the children to do "their" very best. Our child says that she's just the best teacher ever, even when she's being strict!

Mollie sees the need of each child and I feel accommodates their learning needs. I could write a short story of how I feel about this teacher and how I've seen her interact with the kids, but to make it short, I'll just say....I think she hung the moon and placed the stars around it and am so thankful we were blessed with her as a 3rd grade teacher for our girl!

Altha School Principal Sue Price stated, “Mrs. Branton’s passion for her students is evident in how well they perform and the order and structure of her classroom. I’m thankful to have her as part of the Altha School family.”

Congratulations to Mrs. Branton as she works daily to make other’s days better.
